What is End Of Life Care?
Dying is one of the most natural experiences we will all encounter, yet it is often one of the most unpredictable and challenging parts of life.
Just as we care for, love, and support the people and animals who are important to us, we can also offer that same compassion and presence when they approach their end of life.
A Death Doula is a non-medical support person who provides guidance, companionship and practical support, before, during and after the dying process, for both humans and their beloved animal companions. From sharing information and exploring options, to helping navigate difficult decisions, emotional conversations and at the time of transition. We walk alongside individuals, families and caregivers during one of life's most profound times.
In this role, I offer compassion, understanding, experience, and a non judgemental presence. I hope to create a space for meaningful conversation, love, creativity and connection. I also believe there is room for laughter alongside grief; sometimes a shared smile through tears can be its own kind of medicine.
Every journey is unique, and no one should have to walk it alone.
